Style commerce platform ABLY is shaking up the e-commerce landscape by dominating the online payment market for teenagers. According to Puffin's 'Analysis of Alpha Generation Consumption Patterns in H1 2025', ABLY outpaced major domestic e-commerce platforms, monopolizing 43.4% of online payment transactions by the Alpha generation (effectively, teenage consumers). This is a clear indicator that it has succeeded in capturing the hearts of the Alpha generation, who are 'digital natives'. ABLY's success stems from its highly loyal user base. According to an announcement by app and retail analysis service Wiseapp · Retail, in August, the revisit rate for teenage users was approximately 88%, ranking first among all vertical commerce platforms, and the revisit rate for users in their 20s was also the highest among specialized malls at 83%. This proves that the younger generation perceives ABLY as an essential platform beyond just a shopping app. In particular, 'Yojum Cody' (Today's Style), a co-ordination sharing space within the ABLY app, has become a venue for active communication and style exploration among teenagers. As of August, posts by teenagers surged by 61% year-on-year, and the number of teenage users who created posts increased by 53%, demonstrating that content-based community activation is providing an 'experience' beyond mere consumption. Its influence on the short-form platform TikTok is also remarkable. Content with the '#ABLY' hashtag has accumulated approximately 2 billion views, and user-generated content (UGC) like 'ABLY Coordi' and 'ABLY Recommended Items' has gained explosive popularity, generating a natural viral marketing effect. Kang Seok-hoon, CEO of ABLY, emphasized, "The strategy of quickly understanding the needs of the 'digital native' generation, who grew up with smartphones, and providing a customized experience encompassing everything from shopping to content, has been effective in increasing the loyalty of customers in their teens and twenties." He expects ABLY's influence in the e-commerce market to expand further by preemptively capturing the 'Zalpha generation' (Generation Z + Alpha generation), who are gaining attention as key future consumers. ABLY is positioning itself as a key leader driving the lifestyle and culture of the younger generation, going beyond a mere commerce platform.
