Karrot Real Estate Launches 'Safe Remittance' Service to Prevent Down Payment Transfer Accidents

Danggeun's real estate service, 'Danggeun Real Estate,' has introduced 'Ansim Songgeum' (Safe Remittance), a service that allows users to safely send and receive down payments for direct real estate transactions. Ansim Songgeum is only available for direct transaction listings where homeowner verification has been completed. Instead of the buyer directly sending the down payment to the seller, it is a method where the payment is first deposited into a virtual account designated by Danggeun at NH Nonghyup Bank. Danggeun verifies that the listing owner and the owner of the account receiving the remittance match before transferring the funds, thereby reducing the risk of remittance accidents. The service is available in the chat room within the Danggeun app. After the buyer and seller agree on the transaction terms and down payment, they simply press the 'Ansim Songgeum' button. Both parties need to complete identity verification, and after entering the account number and down payment, virtual account information will be displayed. Once the buyer completes the deposit, a notification is sent to the seller. When the seller presses 'Receive Settlement,' the funds are transferred after owner verification. If a seller's account is sanctioned for fraudulent use, remittance is restricted, and the funds are automatically refunded to the buyer. Danggeun Real Estate has proactively prevented consumer harm by mandating full verification for all individual direct transaction listings. To prevent direct transaction disputes, it also provides 'Direct Transaction Guidelines' that offer guidance on checking for property defects and examining variables in the contract cancellation and refund process. A Danggeun official stated, "Given the nature of real estate transactions involving large sums of money, many users likely felt anxious during the down payment remittance process. To alleviate these concerns and create a safer direct transaction environment, we have prepared the Ansim Songgeum service."
