Amid the deepening uncertainty in the corporate environment due to the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, 'Skill-based HR' utilizing AI is emerging as a core driver for improving corporate productivity. Lee Chae-rin, CEO of the education and knowledge sharing platform Classum, recently presented innovation strategies for the AI era at a forum hosted by the Korea Employers Federation, emphasizing the core competencies in the HR sector and the importance of transitioning to a Skill-Based Organization (SBO). CEO Lee underscored that the advancement of AI is transforming the HR sector from a simple management area into a strategic core area with significant cost-saving effects. In particular, in an era of uncertainty, the concept of 'skills' for systematically managing employees' work capabilities is receiving global attention, and thanks to the evolution of AI technology, skill-based HR has entered the practical application phase. Classum is actively supporting companies in their transition to skill-based HR systems by utilizing AI technology. CEO Lee explained that the core of this transition lies in effectively addressing step-by-step tasks such as job role analysis, defining essential skills, and evaluating and diagnosing employee skill levels. Specifically, Classum automates job analysis and skill definition tasks using large language model (LLM)-based AI technology. Furthermore, it enhances the reliability of HR systems by automatically generating highly explanatory questions during the evaluation and diagnosis process. In addition, it is driving tangible change by providing organizational and individual skill management platforms to enable companies to conveniently operate skill-based HR. Such AI-based skill management systems are drawing attention as essential strategic tools for companies to strengthen future competitiveness by leveraging innovation as a driving force in an era of hyper-uncertainty, and optimize human resource capabilities in line with changing market environments.
