Luxury travel platform OnVacation has launched a real-time hotel rate inquiry service that includes special benefits. Previously, to check hotel rates that included special benefits such as room upgrades and F&B credits, users had to individually visit official websites or communicate multiple times with hotels via email through consultations. OnVacation has implemented this as an online platform, making it possible to inquire about rates including special benefits in real-time, even without hotel membership. Users can compare official website rates, luxury travel consortia rates, and promotional rates, and also check the special benefits included in each rate option, such as breakfast provision, room upgrades, and hotel credits. Various options, including refundable and non-refundable rates, and rates with special benefits versus basic rates, can be compared in real-time. OnVacation is subscribed to hotel brand-specific memberships such as Hyatt Prive, Accor Preferred, Mandarin Oriental Fan Club, Marriott STARS & Luminous, IHG Destined, Jumeirah Passport, Anantara Journey, and Shangri-La The Luxury Circle. For hotels included in luxury consortia like Virtuoso, rates that include those specific benefits are also displayed. If booked through OnVacation, customers can earn membership points for each hotel brand under their own name. Kim Tae-woong, CTO, explained, "Building a real-time rate inquiry system that includes special benefits is a task that requires AI technology, not only for API integration with numerous hotels, consortia, and promotional channels but also for processing thousands of real-time fluctuating rate data points." Kang Young-seok, CEO, stated, "We do not attempt to solve everything solely with technology. In areas where a human touch is needed, such as complex itinerary coordination or special requests, we provide 1:1 consultation with professional consultants." Currently, real-time rate inquiries are possible for about 100 domestic and international 5-star hotels, with plans to expand the service to over 1,000 hotels by the first quarter of 2026.
