Solarize, a leader in smart inverter technology, proudly demonstrated its innovative potential by being selected as an excellent company in the '2024 Initial Startup Package Support Project' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development. The final evaluation, concluded in March 2025, comprehensively assessed the completeness of technology development, tangible commercialization achievements, and future growth potential, and Solarize received outstanding scores in all these areas. Through this support project, Solarize successfully developed three core products: smart inverters for fuel cells, smart converters for water electrolysis, and equipment-linked RTUs (Remote Terminal Units). These advanced products have already proven their excellence through rigorous performance verification in a real-time HILS (Hardware-In-the-Loop Simulation) environment based at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). Particularly noteworthy is the fact that sales totaling approximately 260 million Korean Won during the project period are directly linked to the newly developed products. This is strong evidence clearly demonstrating that Solarize's technology is not merely confined to research achievements but is leading to immediate market demand and revenue generation in the actual market, and it served as a decisive factor in its selection as an excellent company. Solarize, a faculty startup originating from POSTECH's Department of Electrical Engineering, is dedicating its efforts to the commercialization of next-generation distributed power conversion technologies, including high-speed MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking)-based string inverters, MLPE (Module-Level Power Electronics) optimizers, RTUs, and cloud-based integrated control platforms. CEO Kim Young-jin stated that with this selection as an excellent company, Solarize will leverage its unique technological prowess as a stepping stone to actively expand its market into Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB), industrial complexes, and even the hydrogen energy sector. He also expressed a firm aspiration: "We will create social value through technology and stand tall as a key partner in the rapidly changing era of energy transition." Solarize, which had previously been recognized for its technological capabilities by being selected for TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup), a private investment-led technology startup support program, is consistently securing various demonstration projects and commercialization achievements through close collaboration with major domestic power generation companies and private construction firms, thereby further solidifying its position as a leader in the future energy solutions market.
