## Korea's Quantum Computing Leader, Qunova, Selected for Forbes Asia 100 to Watch List Qunova, a startup leading Korea's quantum computing sector, has garnered international attention by being named in 'Forbes Asia 100 to Watch,' a list published by the global economic magazine Forbes. Now in its fifth year, this prestigious list meticulously selects and highlights 100 startups and small to medium-sized enterprises across Asia that demonstrate outstanding growth potential. In announcing Qunova's selection, Forbes emphasized, "Quantum computing, alongside artificial intelligence and green technology, is a key driver transforming Asia's startup ecosystem." This suggests that Qunova is not merely a promising company but stands at the center of technological innovation poised to reshape the future industrial landscape. Qunova is dedicated to developing innovative quantum software applicable to a wide range of fields, including chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and industrial engineering. Such technology holds the potential to bring about revolutionary changes across industries by solving complex problems and maximizing efficiency. In fact, in 2023, Qunova successfully conducted research in collaboration with leading Korean companies like POSCO and Megazone Cloud to explore practical applications of quantum technology in industrial settings. Its technological achievements are also remarkable. Qunova recently gained international recognition for its technological prowess by registering 'HiVQE,' a proprietary hybrid algorithm for complex chemical calculations, on IBM's world-renowned quantum software platform 'Qiskit.' This technological advancement has also led to investment attraction. Last August, Qunova successfully secured approximately 13.5 billion won in Series A funding from investors including Korea Development Bank, Company K Partners, and GS Ventures, laying a strong foundation for growth. Lee Jun-gu, CEO of Qunova, stressed that quantum computing "will be a core driving force for the next generation of industrial innovation" and expressed his ambition to "secure a firm competitive edge in the global market." Qunova's selection by Forbes is expected to be a significant milestone in Korea's leap toward becoming a quantum technology powerhouse, and attention is now focused on Qunova's future endeavors on the global stage.
