Openknowl, an AI-based career service company, achieved remarkable growth, recording sales revenue of approximately 25.3 billion KRW in Q1 2025 based on its consolidated financial statements, a 295% surge compared to the same period last year. This figure is nearly half of last year's annual sales (50.7 billion KRW). Operating profit more than quadrupled from 120 million KRW to 520 million KRW, and net profit nearly doubled from 190 million KRW to 570 million KRW, highlighting a significant improvement in profitability.
Openknowl attributed this to the successful acquisition of projects targeting foreigners and middle-aged and senior individuals, which translated into substantial performance. They also analyzed that R&D investments for advancing the 'Mini Intern' service and operational efficiency drove the improvement in their profit and loss. This achievement is particularly significant given the overall "hiring freeze."
The company enhanced the quality of its career services by introducing AI-based "experience recording" and "portfolio diagnosis" services to 'Mini Intern,' its core total solution for job seekers and entrepreneurs. Furthermore, by launching the "Partner-type Mini Intern" in a contest format, it is accelerating its entry into the freelance market.
Business expansion is also active. It has linked 'Mini Intern' with business Korean language education for immigrants, immigration and stay counseling, and job matching programs, and has expanded to include settlement-led startup support. In the senior sector, it is strengthening its social role by creating practical re-employment opportunities through job transition training and job matching for those aged 60 and over, as well as customized job training for middle-aged and senior individuals.
Kwon In-taek, CEO of Openknowl, stated, "We have maintained strong performance through continuous business expansion centered around the keyword 'jobs'." He further expressed his ambition to "lead in establishing job-centric lifecycle design services through business expansion into adjacent areas."
