NIA Launches Integrated Art Management App 'BOHO Cloud'
NIA's innovative application 'BOHO Cloud', which opens new horizons in art management, is officially launching its pilot service. This app is a groundbreaking solution for the integrated online and offline management of artworks, and is expected to solve collectors' long-standing challenges. Developed based on NIA's professional art storage facility 'BOHO', launched in 2023, 'BOHO Cloud' perfectly connects physical storage spaces with digital record spaces. With a single app, collectors can check and control all processes in real-time, including artwork inflow/outflow status, condition checks, and detailed record management, thereby enjoying the convenience of managing their valuable collections in their hands anytime, anywhere. In particular, this app is designed to allow not only professional storage facility users but also general users to build 'their own digital storage'. Users can classify and manage artworks into 'BOHO Storage' and 'Personal Storage', and it offers scalability to comprehensively encompass various collection items beyond artworks, such as art toys and limited-edition goods. One of 'BOHO Cloud's core features is serving as a conduit connecting artworks stored in personal storage with NIA's professional fine art services. By requesting artwork movement through the app, collectors can conveniently access NIA's professional services such as transportation, appraisal, and restoration in a one-stop manner, allowing them to avail expert assistance throughout the entire artwork management process. Established in 2015, NIA is an art-specialized consulting firm that has successfully carried out diverse exhibition projects through collaboration with national and public art museums. In 2023, it launched 'BOHO', a professional storage facility equipped with cutting-edge amenities such as eco-friendly temperature/humidity control, 24-hour security, and gas fire suppression systems, currently operating in Seongsu-dong (STORAGE 1) and Indeogwon (STORAGE 2). Particularly, the Indeogwon storage boasts the nation's highest level of storage infrastructure, complete with loading/unloading and transportation facilities capable of accommodating large artworks up to 500-ho (approximately 2x3m). Min Eun-ju, CEO of NIA, pointed out the inconvenient reality of professional artwork management infrastructure compared to the rapidly growing Korean art market, and expressed her ambition that "'BOHO Cloud' app will provide professional and convenient management solutions to collectors and furthermore become essential infrastructure for the healthy growth of the Korean art market." 'BOHO Cloud' will pave the way for stable asset management for collectors and present a more transparent and efficient ecosystem for the art market, ushering in a new era.
