Mobile communication brokerage platform Moyo has achieved a remarkable feat. For the first time in the domestic mobile communication brokerage industry, it acquired the strict Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), officially recognizing its unique commitment and capabilities in customer information protection.
ISMS is a national accredited information security certification that covers the entire process from information security policy establishment to operation and management, and is awarded only upon meeting a total of 80 evaluation criteria and 237 detailed inspection items. What makes it particularly significant is that even though Moyo was not obligated to obtain ISMS certification, it voluntarily prepared for and passed the rigorous certification process under the firm goal of customer information protection and security enhancement, making its achievement even more remarkable.
Moyo, which provides a full range of telecommunication services from budget phone plan comparison to mobile phone and internet application and activation, easily and conveniently in one place, has consistently prioritized customer information protection by establishing systematic security processes from the very beginning of its service, even during its collaboration with MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators). This ISMS certification proves that Moyo's robust security system has been officially recognized by Korea's most authoritative institution, and will provide deep trust to its customers.
Building on this ISMS certification, Moyo plans to further prepare for the acquisition of international information security standards ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications, aiming to establish a global-level security system.
Moyo's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Wi Sung-wook stated, "Moyo, which has expanded reasonable choices in the telecommunication market, particularly around budget phones, will continue to prioritize customer information protection and strengthen its robust information security system. We promise to create the safest environment where customers can trust and use our services, even in unseen aspects." Under the leadership of CISO Wi Sung-wook, who has served as an information security expert at major domestic IT companies such as NCSOFT and Kakao Enterprise, Moyo will build even stronger information security capabilities.
