The startup MAYAI, which innovates the future of offline stores with AI, is gaining attention for its remarkable growth and global technological recognition. In the first half of 2025, sales surged by over 130% compared to the same period last year, significantly raising market expectations. MAYAI's core driving force is its store analysis AI solution, 'mAsh'. mAsh precisely analyzes in-store CCTV footage with AI to measure detailed data such as visitor age groups, movement patterns, and dwell times. Through this, it provides key performance indicators (KPIs) and practical insights necessary for space management and improving the in-store experience, maximizing the efficiency of offline marketing. MAYAI's AI engine currently processes vast video data exceeding an average of 25,000 hours per day in real-time, demonstrating its capabilities. Already, nationwide retail companies such as SPAO and Coway Gallery, as well as leading domestic companies like Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, and CGV, have joined MAYAI's client base, rapidly expanding its application cases. It is evaluated that MAYAI is opening new horizons in the offline retail market by creating tangible results such as optimizing customer flow and improving employee response rates. In particular, MAYAI's technological prowess has been firmly recognized on the global stage. At ICLR 2025, a global AI academic conference, its paper 'Research on Camera Bias in Human Re-identification AI Models' achieved the remarkable feat of being selected as a 'Spotlight' paper, placing it in the top 5%. Furthermore, by participating in 'Viva Technology 2025,' Europe's largest tech startup exhibition held in Paris, France, MAYAI showcased its innovative technology to global investors and companies, laying the groundwork for overseas market expansion. Recently, MAYAI achieved another technological leap by launching 'mAsh Insights,' a conversational AI agent integrating LLM (Large Language Model). This innovatively increased the utility of 'mAsh Board,' which allows users to view data collected and analyzed by mAsh at a glance, resulting in a remarkable 32% increase in average mAsh Board dwell time and over a 3-fold boost in user engagement. This year, MAYAI plans to further solidify its position in the domestic market while accelerating its foray into the global market. It aims to expand contact points with overseas companies and investors through global exhibitions and IR programs, and will focus on the global commercialization of mAsh, leveraging the experience of its domestic clients in adopting and operating mAsh at their overseas locations. Kim Chan-gyu, CEO of MAYAI, defined 2025 as a critical turning point in terms of technological innovation and market expansion, expressing his ambition to strengthen the company's market leadership through globally recognized technology and expanded partnerships.
