Fashion AI leader Looko garnered attention by unveiling an innovative service that integrates AI virtual fitting and product search at ‘AWS Summit Seoul 2025’. Visitors to the Looko booth could take their own photos, choose a desired style like retro or bohemian, and then virtually experience what they would look like wearing those outfits. Beyond that, by scanning a QR code from the generated image, users were provided with a practical shopping connection experience, allowing them to instantly search for and purchase vintage items similar to the outfit in the image on ‘SecondSold’, a nationwide integrated platform for vintage shop products.
‘SecondSold’, which offers over 600,000 products from more than 300 vintage sellers nationwide, had faced difficulties in searching its vast collection of used clothing. Looko solved this chronic market problem by automatically recognizing product information and enabling intuitive searches with its self-developed fashion AI technology, providing users with an easy and fast vintage shopping experience. Various generative AI technologies from AWS, including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Nova, Amazon SageMaker, and Amazon Rekognition, served as the core driving force behind this virtual fitting demonstration.
Looko plans to continuously expand its technological collaboration with AWS in the future, officially integrating the virtual fitting service showcased this time into its other core app, ‘A-Closet’. This will allow users not only to freely virtually try on desired clothes within A-Closet but also to attempt styling matches with other clothes they already own. Furthermore, Looko plans to launch an AI chatbot service capable of recommending outfits suitable for the weather or situation and even providing fashion-related consultations, thereby elevating the user experience to a hyper-personalized level.
Koh Hae-shin, CEO of Looko, emphasized, “The rapid advancement of LLM (Large Language Model) technology is bringing unprecedented new opportunities and winds of innovation to the fashion market,” adding, “Looko will provide practical value to users through hyper-personalized fashion services based on digital wardrobes, going beyond virtual fitting.”
