Naver passed resolutions at its 26th annual general meeting of shareholders held on the 26th, appointing founder Lee Hae-jin as an inside director and reappointing CEO Choi Soo-yeon. The board of directors determined that the experience and leadership of founder Lee Hae-jin, who has led a paradigm shift with unique strategies and secured mid-to-long-term growth engines during this era of major AI transformation, are essential. With this, the second term under CEO Choi Soo-yeon is expected to secure more stable leadership and accelerate Naver's leap as a leading AI company and strengthen its global competitiveness. CEO Choi Soo-yeon led robust growth during her previous term, including achieving annual sales of KRW 10 trillion for the first time among domestic internet platforms. She is credited with successfully building a foundation for future growth through AI-based service innovation, new business development, and management system reorganization. The second term plans to fully embark on new innovations through the 'On-Service AI' strategy, which links Naver's core AI technologies with its business portfolio. Additionally, Professor Kim Yi-bae of Duksung Women's University was newly appointed as an outside director and member of the audit committee, outside director Noh Hyuk-joon was reappointed, and a total of five resolutions, including the approval of financial statements and the approval of the director's remuneration limit, were all passed as proposed.
