Kurly's customer-participatory affiliate marketing program, 'Kurly Curator,' has achieved astonishing success, surpassing 2 billion KRW in monthly transaction volume just 11 months after its launch.
Officially launched in January, the program operates by customers sharing links to Kurly products on their social media, with rewards paid if a purchase occurs via that link within 24 hours. As of November, the cumulative number of visitors to Kurly Mall via Curator links recorded an astounding 3.5 million, demonstrating how customers' voluntary participation has created a powerful influx to the Kurly platform.
According to data analysis, the product that curators shared links for the most frequently was 'Apgujeong Jjukkumi' stir-fried webfoot octopus, renowned for its spicy flavor. In terms of actual sales volume, 'Kurly’s' domestic soybean tofu ranked first, followed by 'KF365' organic domestic soybean sprouts, 'Yonsei Milk x Market Kurly' private farm milk, and 'Kurly’s' zucchini, all gaining high popularity and showing the strong performance of everyday essentials.
Anyone can apply to be a Kurly Curator by registering their active social media channel URL within the 'My Kurly' menu of the Kurly Mall app. Depending on the channel's influence, applicants are divided into '1star' and '2star' tiers, receiving differentiated rewards, and in addition to rewards, special opportunities such as participating in group purchases and product trial events are provided.
Lee Eun-young, Head of Growth at Kurly, stated, "Based on customers' high trust, the Curator program has successfully established itself," and revealed plans to expand the range of eligible affiliate products beyond food and beauty to cover all aspects of lifestyle, while also enhancing benefits. Kurly Curator is establishing itself as a new win-win model where customers and Kurly grow together, going beyond mere marketing.
