Kokoji Unveils Listening-Based 'Child Growth Report': 2472 Words Learned in 86 Minutes
As the Chuseok holiday approaches, 'Kokoji,' which presents children's special growth records, is drawing attention. Kokoji, a global audio content platform, is conducting the 'Kokoji Grown Up Listening Report Campaign' and has released the 'Kokoji Listening Report,' which contains vast listening data accumulated over the past three years. In March 2022, Kokoji, which introduced 'Kokoji House' and the cute character 'Atti' figurine, achieved the remarkable feat of surpassing cumulative sales of 10 billion won in just two years. Building on this success, Kokoji successfully entered the Taiwanese market in June 2024, proving its global growth potential by securing the top position in major local e-commerce platforms. Unveiled for the first time, the 'Kokoji Listening Report' vividly captures children's auditory growth journey, going beyond mere numbers. Over the past three years, the total time children listened through Kokoji amounted to a staggering 19,973,840 hours, which is equivalent to an average of 86 minutes per child per day, listening to 2,472 words daily, and encountering stories the length of 13 fairy tale books. In particular, children's most favorite genre was exciting 'children's songs,' and most listening occurred around 8 AM, signaling the start of the day, demonstrating Kokoji's contribution to children's formation of healthy living habits. The report meticulously analyzes and presents children's individual listening tendencies in six unique types. From the 'Story Collector' who immerses themselves in new narratives, the 'Melody Fairy' who loves melodies and rhythms, the 'Good Habits Keeper' who learns proper lifestyle habits, the 'Curiosity Explorer' who shows curiosity about everything in the world, and the 'Language Wizard' who focuses on improving language skills, to the 'Time Traveler' who embarks on a journey to find the wisdom of classics – it unfolds each child's special listening world. Parents can use this report to quickly understand what type of listener their child is and gain significant help in setting personalized learning and play directions based on this. Park Ji-hee, CEO of Kokoji, stated, "Chuseok is a precious time when generations gather to share warm stories. Even during the long journey home for the holidays, Kokoji audio content will be an excellent alternative, bringing joy to children and giving parents a moment of respite." She further expressed her aspiration, "Through this campaign, we hope that children's 'listening time' transcends simple records, creating a beautiful culture where the whole family experiences and shares the child's growth."
