Whistle, the integrated mobility app, has surpassed 5.74 million cumulative users, accounting for approximately one in four passenger car drivers nationwide, and is establishing itself as a central hub for car life in Korea. With 5.38 million vehicles registered, Whistle has rapidly grown into an undisputed leading automotive lifestyle platform in Korea.
Whistle, which began in 2021 as the nation's first integrated parking violation notification service, now offers solutions that accompany car owners through every moment, moving beyond simple notifications. Initially, its main functions included parking violation notifications, fine lookup, and payment; however, it has now expanded its services to include personalized offerings covering the entire car lifecycle, such as vehicle inspection reservations, car wash reservations, and used car selling (My Car Sale), driving an explosive increase in users.
In particular, the 'My Car Sale' service has grown 2.5 times compared to the same period last year, and the number of quotation inquiries has surged by 68% since the beginning of this year. The 'PickDeal' service, a competitive bidding system that combines real used car transaction data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport with AI solutions, provides personalized market prices based on vehicle information, with 94% of users expressing 'great satisfaction' and 77% responding positively to the accuracy of the market price quotations.
The 'Vehicle Inspection Reservation' service also achieved remarkable growth, increasing by 129% in the first half of this year alone compared to the same period last year. Reservations for diesel vehicle nitrogen oxide (NOx) inspections, in line with Ministry of Environment revisions, increased by 133%, and recently, the 'Visiting Inspection Reservation' service was introduced, which handles the entire process from vehicle pickup to inspection, maximizing user convenience.
The premium hand car wash service, 'Whistle Car Wash,' also showed rapid growth, with its user base tripling within just six months of its launch. It is achieving high satisfaction through its 'All-in-One Package' which includes interior and exterior cleaning and wax coating, standardized pricing by vehicle type, and consistent car wash quality.
A Whistle official stated, "We have evolved into a platform that encompasses all aspects of car life, from violation notifications to inspections, car washes, and used car transactions," and expressed the ambition to "continue developing into the optimal automotive lifestyle platform, aligning with the trend of car management shifting from 'offline' to 'mobile solutions'." Whistle plans to continue making drivers' car lives more convenient and smarter with innovative services in the future.
