## Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation Successfully Holds '2025 Startup Leap Package Kick-off': Startups Ready to Leap to the Next Stage!
Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation (hereinafter Gyeonggi CCEI) announced on the 18th that it had successfully concluded the '2025 Startup Leap Package Kick-off (My Team Is Scale-up! Journey to Leap)' event for leap-stage startups with growth potential, held in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. This event marked a powerful start for promising companies poised to grow into future unicorns.
**A Strong Companion for Growth Acceleration**
The 'Startup Leap Package Support Project', organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, and operated by Gyeonggi CCEI, focuses on accelerating the growth of companies with 3 to 7 years of business experience. This year, it was specially operated with two tracks, selecting a total of 46 promising companies. The main participants are 26 'Large Corporation Collaboration Type' companies partnered with KT and LG Electronics, and 20 'Investment Parallel Type' companies with Korea Venture Investment (KVIC), and they will receive customized accelerating support from Gyeonggi CCEI. In particular, companies selected for the investment parallel track will have the opportunity to receive SAFE investment from KVIC, which is expected to lay an important foundation for early growth.
This kick-off event was a meaningful networking venue to celebrate the 46 selected companies, where private venture capitalists and experts from various fields gathered to discuss the future.
**Gaining Inspiration, Solidifying Practical Capabilities: A Two-Day Intensive Journey**
**Day 1** began with active networking among the selected companies. Following an introduction to the Startup Leap Package operating plan, companies introduced themselves with 1-minute speeches and explored collaboration possibilities through introductions from large corporations and investment firms. A special lecture on 'Entrepreneurial Spirit' by CEO Lee Dong-hyung of Singlife Webd provided strong inspiration to participating companies, and in-depth discussions on actual investment attraction strategies took place through a communication session with panels from major domestic investment firms such as Dongmoon Partners, Platinum Technology Investment, and Capstone Partners. Furthermore, vivid experiences shared by senior companies (Korea Housing Information, Mopin, Brain Deck) that achieved successful global awards and growth through last year's Startup Leap Package provided great motivation and practical advice to the participating companies.
**Day 2** focused on strengthening practical capabilities essential for corporate growth. Participants acquired easy-to-miss financial management know-how through a lecture on startup accounting management and investment preparation by Samil PwC, and a special lecture by Jin Accounting Firm thoroughly covered fair and efficient use of government support funds. Subsequently, experts from the Global Business Technology Research Institute provided practical assistance by presenting strategies for entering certification and procurement markets necessary during the startup leap phase, and customized expert linkage plans to resolve on-site difficulties.
**Creating a Win-Win Ecosystem Together: Laying a Strong Foundation for the Leap**
This kick-off event served as an opportunity to solidify business ties among participating companies, and to strengthen cooperative relationships with partners such as KT, LG Electronics, and Korea Venture Investment. Based on a clear understanding of Gyeonggi CCEI's systematic accelerating program, which will continue for the next 10 months, participating companies laid a strong foundation to establish their respective growth strategies.
Kim Won-kyung, CEO of Gyeonggi CCEI, stated, "We expect the selected companies to maximize this program to leap forward as global unicorn startup hubs and grow together." He emphasized, "As the program is composed of large corporation collaboration and investment parallel types, Gyeonggi CCEI, KT, LG Electronics, Korea Venture Investment, and our selected companies will journey together to create a win-win ecosystem that provides follow-up support." Starting with this kick-off, Gyeonggi CCEI will provide full support to help participating companies make a strong leap to the next stage.
