Delightroom, which has successfully operated the global sleep-wake solution 'Alarmy', announced on the 25th that it has grown the revenue of its investment portfolio company, BitBite, by a remarkable 8 times compared to the same period last year, through its ad monetization solution 'Daro'. This demonstrates how Delightroom's accumulated ad monetization know-how has directly contributed to the growth of an app developer, creating a new success story.
Delightroom's 'Daro' became the core growth engine for 'DoniDwaeji', an app-tech service launched by BitBite in February this year. 'DoniDwaeji' operates on a structure where users watch various advertisements and share the revenue, and thanks to 'Daro''s sophisticated ad optimization, it quickly settled in, recording consecutive surpluses in April and May, just two months after its launch. Beyond 'DoniDwaeji', 'Daro' has also been applied to multiple other services, including BitBite's popular app 'Play Keyboard', driving overall ad revenue growth for BitBite.
'Daro''s strong competitiveness is based on the unique ad monetization know-how that Delightroom has built through 'Alarmy'. 'Alarmy', which began its service in 2013, is a global service that ranked first in the alarm category in 97 countries worldwide and achieved 20 billion won in revenue last year alone. 'Daro' provides these proven success strategies of 'Alarmy' in an optimized form tailored to the characteristics of each app service, recording 9 billion won in revenue in its first year of launch in 2023, showing explosive growth of approximately four times compared to the previous year.
Ahn Seo-hyung, CEO of BitBite, emphasized, "This is the result of a perfect synergy between Delightroom's 'Daro''s outstanding ad monetization capabilities and BitBite's app development technological prowess," adding that BitBite will continue to focus on the development of 'DoniDwaeji' and 'Play Keyboard' in the second half of the year, aiming to achieve the annual break-even point. Shin Jae-myung, CEO of Delightroom, also stated, "We are embedding the know-how accumulated through 'Alarmy', a global service used by 3 million people daily, into 'Daro', and over 10 client companies, including BitBite, have grown their ad revenue by an average of more than twofold after adopting 'Daro'," suggesting 'Daro''s broad potential for success.
Based on proven success in the global market, Delightroom's 'Daro' is solidifying its position as a powerful partner that helps various app services build effective ad revenue models and achieve growth.
