D.CAMP-hosted Special Office Hours for Business Collaboration between Large Corporations and Startups successfully concluded at Changwon Exhibition and Convention Center (CECO) in Gyeongsangnam-do on May 28th and 29th. This event, held in conjunction with ‘GSAT 2025’ hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do, fostered active discussions on open innovation between large and mid-sized companies and innovative startups in key industrial sectors such as renewable energy, shipbuilding and marine, and railway. On the first day, the 28th, nine demand-side companies including Samsung Electronics, Hanwha Ocean, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Heavy Industries, Korea South-East Power, Doosan Enerbility, and Korea Aerospace Industries held in-depth individual meetings with 19 startups such as Tilda and Amberroad. On the following day, the 29th, eight companies including Hyosung Heavy Industries, Hyundai Rotem, Daewoong Pharmaceutical, and SK ecoplant met with seven startups to explore specific cooperation plans and continued active discussions. Participating companies successfully discovered new growth engines through collaboration with startups in their respective specialized fields. In particular, Doosan Enerbility, SK ecoplant, and Korea South-East Power held meaningful discussions with startups possessing innovative technologies in the renewable energy sector; Samsung Heavy Industries, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Hanwha Ocean in the shipbuilding and marine industry; and Hyundai Rotem and Romansys in the railway industry. Furthermore, Korea Aerospace Industries, Samsung Electronics, Daewoong Pharmaceutical, and others also explored industrial innovation strategies through active exchanges with startups in their respective fields. D.CAMP Office Hours, which has been held over 1,000 times since 2013, is a specialized mentoring program for startups. This special Office Hours provided an opportunity for large and mid-sized companies to secure new growth engines, and a venue for startups to meet valuable partners for technology verification and product advancement. A D.CAMP official attached great significance to the event's contribution to revitalizing Gyeongsangnam-do's industrial ecosystem and spreading open innovation culture, stating that they plan to continue operating such large corporation-startup collaboration platforms in the future.
