Dat, Google: Strategic Partnership for Inclusive Education
Google and Dot Inc. have joined hands to disseminate innovative digital education solutions for visually impaired students. The two companies will create an inclusive learning environment through a bundle package combining the tactile display 'Dot Pad', Google's education platform 'Google for Education', and 'Chromebook'. This will enable visually impaired students to actively participate in learning by utilizing touch. In particular, it plans to implement a more advanced inclusive digital education model that encompasses voice and touch by integrating Google's generative AI 'Gemini' in the future. This collaboration, first unveiled at the 'World Inclusion Congress' held in Kazakhstan last October, was formalized with the signing of a strategic cooperation MOU in 2025. It will be expanded and disseminated in global education systems, focusing on the Asia-Pacific (APEC) and Europe, Middle East, and North Africa (EMEA) regions. Google plans to effectively supply the Chromebook and Dot Pad bundle packages by leveraging its extensive global network, governments, and partnerships, actively supporting the creation of inclusive classroom environments and showcase programs. This partnership between the two companies is expected to be a significant turning point, helping visually impaired people worldwide overcome educational barriers and more easily access and participate in digital learning environments.
