AI technology company Crowworks is officially embarking on its strategy to enter the Japanese market. It plans to accelerate the establishment of a local partner ecosystem by participating in 'Japan IT Week', Japan's largest IT exhibition, which will be held from May 23rd to 25th at Tokyo Big Sight.
At this exhibition, Crowworks will primarily showcase its agentic AI solution, 'Alpy'. In particular, it plans to emphasize its AI model evaluation and verification solution, 'Alpy Evaluation', and present customized AI implementation strategies to Japanese companies. Alpy is an integrated solution that supports the entire process of agentic AI adoption, from data preprocessing to agentic RAG technology and model performance evaluation, helping companies quickly and efficiently build highly reliable data-driven AI services. Currently, some Japanese language services are provided, and full multilingual support is expected to be completed within the first half of the year.
Japan IT Week, which saw the participation of 1,100 companies and over 90,000 people last year, is expected to be an important opportunity for Crowworks to directly assess the state of the Japanese AI market and accelerate discussions for collaboration with key local companies such as telecommunication providers, SI companies, and consulting firms. In addition to solution provision, the company is exploring expanding its AI education services and is reportedly already in the process of contracting with its first local client.
The Japanese AI market is expected to grow from approximately $660 million in 2024 to $3.52 billion by 2033, with an average annual growth rate of about 20%. The Japanese government is also implementing aggressive fostering policies, including investing approximately $65 billion in the AI and semiconductor industries, creating an optimal market environment for Crowworks.
Kim Woo-seung, CEO of Crowworks, stated, "Japan is a market where aggressive government investment in AI coincides with high interest in adoption from businesses," expressing the ambition to expand contact with the Japanese AI ecosystem and strengthen its global market position through this exhibition.
Meanwhile, Crowworks unveiled its agentic AI solution Alpy to the European market for the first time at 'MWC 2025' last March, establishing its presence on the global stage. It was selected by Gartner as an 'Emerging Specialist' in generative AI engineering and recognized as a leading company in 'Data Labeling and Processing' for two consecutive years starting in 2022. Furthermore, since 2024, it has been evaluated as a 'Generative AI Technology Company,' proving its technological prowess.
