Caring Launches 'Motion Scale' Dedicated Care Robot Business Unit
Caring, a company specializing in senior care, has taken a significant step to innovate the future of care services. To accelerate the development of humanoid care robots, it has established a dedicated organization, the 'Motion Scale' business unit, thereby declaring technological innovation. The Motion Scale business unit is responsible for the creation, analysis, and learning of motion data essential for realizing precise and natural movements in robots. In particular, by integrating Caring's long-accumulated senior care expertise and on-site operational know-how into robot development, it plans to play a crucial role in realizing robots optimized for real care environments. Caring's vision goes beyond simply creating robots; it is to implement intelligent robots based on 'Physical AI' technology that can directly perceive, judge, and perform physical tasks in the real world. To this end, it is strengthening collaborations with leading domestic and international robot and AI companies. Recently, it signed an agreement with Chinese robot technology startup Mirror Me for the joint development of care robots, and also joined hands with MaumAI, a domestic AI specialized company, for joint research and development of Physical AI. Kim Tae-sung, CEO of Caring, emphasized, "Caring's greatest strengths are its unique personnel management system, built by directly employing over 10,000 caregivers, and its ability to deeply collect and analyze behavioral data generated in home care environments." He expressed his ambition to actively contribute to building the domestic care robot industry ecosystem by collaborating with various technology partners based on this expertise. Currently, Caring operates over 60 day care centers, home care centers, and caregiver training centers nationwide, and possesses experience caring for a cumulative total of over 16,000 seniors. This serves as a solid foundation for Caring to usher in the era of robot care. Recently, it expanded into the senior housing business by opening 'Caring Stay,' a paid elderly care facility, and 'Caring Village,' a nursing home, expanding its service areas and leading the upcoming future care paradigm. Caring will open a new era of human-centered care through its accumulated on-site expertise and the integration of innovative technology.
