All That Maker, which operates the premium billiard hall brand 'Zakdang', recently received a commendation from the Minister of SMEs and Startups, being recognized as a 'regulation disruptor' in the billiard hall industry. They were highly praised for their leadership in improving unreasonable regulations that stifled the billiard hall industry. The most representative achievement is the relaxation of regulations for opening billiard halls within 'Education Environment Protection Zones'. In the past, billiard halls were classified as harmful facilities near schools, leading to many restrictions on their establishment. However, All That Maker directly engaged with local education offices and the Education Environment Protection Committee's deliberations, leading to the establishment of billiard halls near schools. CEO Lee Tae-ho shared this process on the 15,000-member online community 'Daedangsa', successfully leading industry opinion on the necessity of regulatory improvement. Furthermore, they actively introduced the 'shop-in-shop' business model within billiard halls, which, despite being permitted by a regulatory improvement from the Prime Minister's Office in 2017, had seen slow adoption due to a lack of awareness. Zakdang showcased an inter-industry combination model by bringing in barber shops or casual restaurants into billiard halls, proving the effectiveness of regulatory relaxation and creating an opportunity to expand the market.
