Marketboro's 'Sikbom' Achieves 234.1 Billion Won in Transactions Last Year, 52% Increase Year-on-Year

The annual transaction amount of 'Sikbom,' an open market for ingredients operated by food tech company Marketboro, has surpassed 200 billion won. Marketboro announced on the 5th that Sikbom recorded a transaction amount of 234.1 billion won in 2025, marking an approximately 52% increase compared to the previous year (153.7 billion won). Looking at the transaction amount trend of Sikbom, it grew from about 56 billion won in 2023 to 153.7 billion won in 2024, and to 234.1 billion won in 2025, nearly quadrupling in just two years. The user metrics of the platform also rose. The number of members, which was 80,000 in 2023, increased to 230,000 as of the end of last year. Currently, major ingredient distributors such as CJ Freshway, Hyundai Green Food, SPC, Sajo, and the Nonghyup Public Trading Center are participating in Sikbom, with approximately 200,000 registered products. The company plans to conduct entry negotiations with other large retail companies this year. According to data from 'Marketbom,' the SaaS (Software as a Service) distribution management platform operated by Marketboro, changes in payment methods have also been observed. The proportion of prepayments within Marketbom expanded from about 10% in 2022 to 14% recently (approximately 430 billion won on an annualized basis). To date, the cumulative transaction amount of Marketboro has been recorded at about 13 trillion won, and the company plans to utilize the accumulated transaction data for future AI solution development. Im Sa-seong, CEO of Marketboro, stated, "This year, we aim for a breakthrough to profitability," adding, "We will focus on proving the profitability of the intermediary platform business."
