Kimu Studio Named Finalist for Singapore's 'TS2 2025' Global Incubation Program
Kimu Studio, a content startup that introduces the talents of artists with developmental disabilities to the world, has achieved a significant milestone by being selected for Singapore's key acceleration program, 'TS2 (Technology for Sustainable Social Impact) 2025'. TS2, which is linked to the Singaporean government's social impact support policies, is a program that supports technology-based social startups through funding totaling S$3.5 million (approximately KRW 3.5 billion). raiSE Singapore, a support organization for social enterprises in Singapore, and NUS Enterprise, the entrepreneurial arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS), have joined forces to nurture 16 promising companies over two years, providing grants of up to S$100,000, along with a network of domestic and international mentors, experts, investors, and a customized curriculum. Kimu Studio presented an scalable content business model centered on IP (intellectual property) and was selected for this program in recognition of its unique structure that simultaneously generates impact and profit through content collaboration, licensing, and inclusive education services. Participating in TS2's 10-week intensive program, which ran from July to November, Kimu Studio focused on optimizing its creative employment model for designers with developmental disabilities and its IP-centric content business structure for the global market. During this period, they successfully conducted art education for local individuals with developmental disabilities in Singapore, and plans to launch a 'Singapore Edition' in 2026, building on this foundation. Kimu Studio, having already established a Singaporean entity under the name 'KIMUSTUDIO' this year, now plans to accelerate its business expansion on the global stage. Centered on three core categories: art and content education business for artists with developmental disabilities, B2B ESG campaign business, and exhibition business, its ambition is to spread the 'value of inclusion' worldwide. Nam Jang-won, CEO of Kimu Studio, stated, “We participated in the TS2 program to create a global and creative economic system where all artists can enjoy creating, earn fair profits, and feel a sense of belonging.” He further expressed strong determination, saying, “Starting with successful business validation in Singapore, we will expand the 'global creative standard where inclusion becomes competitiveness' worldwide.”
