KakaoPay Launches 'Overseas Delivery' Service, Initially Available in 5 Countries Including the USA and Japan

KakaoPay introduces an overseas shipping service with a visit collection and easy address input feature. KakaoPay has launched its 'overseas shipping' service in collaboration with the global logistics platform, Deleo Korea. This service expands the domestic shipping service that started in 2019 to overseas, introducing a 'visit collection' method where the driver comes to the desired location without the user needing to visit a drop-off location. The most significant feature is the automation of complex English address input. When users copy the entire overseas address they received and paste it into the input field, the system automatically classifies and fills in the country, state, city, and detailed address according to international standards. Transparency and safety in the shipping process have also been strengthened. Users can calculate and pay for shipping costs within the KakaoPay app, and there is a feature that allows them to check the inspection and repackaging process of goods conducted at Deleo Korea's logistics center through video. Additionally, an insurance product is available as an option that compensates 100% of the item value in the event of loss or damage during shipping. The service is available to five countries with high shipment volumes: the United States, China, Japan, Australia, and Canada, with plans to expand the delivery countries in the future. This service has also been integrated into KakaoPay 'Global Home' to be accessible to foreign residents in Korea. A KakaoPay representative stated, "We have simplified complicated procedures to enhance user convenience in the logistics area," and added that "we will provide an integrated logistics service that covers domestic and international shipping, payment, and management." The service can be accessed within the KakaoTalk KakaoPay Home or through the 'Shipping' tab in the KakaoPay app.
