Flitto, an artificial intelligence (AI) language data specialist company, recorded its highest-ever performance in 2024, once again proving itself as a leader in the AI era. Last year, Flitto achieved consolidated sales of KRW 20.3 billion and a net profit of KRW 800 million, successfully turning profitable.
This remarkable achievement is due to the explosive increase in AI training data supply to global big tech companies. Furthermore, the newly launched AI real-time translation solution successfully settled into the market, significantly contributing to sales growth. Flitto has laid a solid foundation for growth by continuously improving the quality of AI training data, building a profit-oriented business portfolio, and adopting a strategy that maximizes cost efficiency.
Yoon Min-yong, Flitto's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), emphasized that "we will actively expand profitable new businesses in the future and continuously pursue cost-efficiency strategies to maintain stable performance."
Flitto anticipates even more aggressive growth in 2025. While significantly expanding data supply to existing clients, the company is also on the verge of signing partnership agreements with new global big tech and AI specialist companies. In particular, in the U.S. market, where various AI solutions, including generative AI, are expected to grow, the demand for voice and image data collected through the Flitto platform is projected to increase significantly.
Flitto's AI-based real-time interpretation and translation solution business has also entered a full-fledged growth phase. Its technological prowess was recognized at major global conferences last year, and the company is expanding its solution supply to various sectors, including finance, local governments, and public institutions.
The company is also accelerating its penetration into overseas markets. As over 70% of its total revenue already comes from the U.S., Flitto plans to further strengthen its overseas business by establishing a local subsidiary in the U.S. in 2025. Through this, it aims to provide smoother technical services to local customers and further enhance corporate value by attracting investment from the U.S. capital market.
CEO Lee Jung-soo stated that "the hard work of Flitto's executives and employees, who have toiled on a global stage, has led to the valuable outcome of turning profitable." He added, "We will make this year the first year for strengthening corporate fundamentals and enhancing shareholder value, and through a successful entry into the U.S. market, we will leap forward as a truly global leader in AI data."
