## 2025 Wellness Business Trends Conference: Opening New Horizons for the Industry A successful event dedicated to envisioning the future of the wellness industry and exploring practical business opportunities concluded at D.CAMP Seolleung, Seoul. Held on July 3rd, the '2025 Wellness Business Trends Conference' brought together over 90 professionals, including entrepreneurs, planners, investors, and operators, to exchange in-depth insights under the core theme of 'New Definitions and Expansion of the Wellness Industry'. Shin Jae-wook, CEO of Hesedridge, who organized the event, stated that he hoped this conference would go beyond a simple introduction of trends. He envisioned it as a platform where practitioners could deeply understand the overall flow of the industry and voice their opinions together, through the vivid sharing of experiences from planning to execution and monetization. The conference was structured into specialized sessions covering three key areas: premium spaces, K-beauty, and food wellness. Speakers representing each field delivered practical, practitioner-focused content. In the first session, Kim Young-kwon, CEO of Plage, presented 'Space is Content: Premium Wellness Spaces'. He emphasized that space is not just interior design, but an experience platform that helps foster emotional connections with customers, highlighting the importance of problem-solving design and community-based approaches. In the subsequent second session, Kyung Hye-won, Director at WeVentures, redefined K-beauty as a complex industry encompassing OEM/ODM manufacturing, global distribution, and the linkage between cosmetic procedures and products. She highlighted the structural growth of the aesthetic market, the export potential in inner beauty and hair care, and emerging trends such as 'Neuro-aesthetics' and 'Pro-aging'. Finally, Lee Don-gu, CEO of Medisolar, presented 'The Evolution of the Food Wellness Industry and Global Cases'. He emphasized that the food industry is evolving beyond simple nutritional supply into a self-care industry that encompasses mental health, disease prevention, and stress care, sharing successful portfolio transformation examples from global companies like Nestlé and Abbott. Beyond mere information delivery, this conference served as a hub for interactive exchange, enabling wellness practitioners to share their concerns and explore cross-industry collaborations and new market opportunities. Proposals for regular industry network operations even emerged on-site, solidifying the conference's reputation as having laid the groundwork for the sustainable growth of the wellness industry ecosystem. Moving forward, the wellness industry is expected to evolve even faster by integrating with various sectors such as premium spaces, beauty, food, mental health, and technology. This forum of discussion is highly anticipated to be a crucial starting point for defining the direction of that change.
