IfB, which operates the wall-sharing platform 'wallD', successfully unveiled its first street art project in Shimokitazawa, Tokyo, opening the door to global market expansion.
This project was conducted in a special collaboration with the popular animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', and garnered immense interest by unveiling original painted works that reinterpreted the 'Huntrix' members as 'Lion Girls', inspired by 'Lion Boyz'. Korean artists Han Hae-dong and Park Jin-yeop were dispatched to Japan and began live drawing in late October, completing the artwork on November 10th, and it adorned key wall surfaces in Shimokitazawa until November 24th. Throughout the exhibition period, it garnered an explosive positive response from both local visitors and online communities.
Han Jong-hyuk, CEO of wallD, stated his ambition to leverage this Tokyo project to secure key wall spaces in major Asian cities, expand its street art-based Out-of-Home (OOH) media business across Asia, including Thailand and Singapore, and solidify its position as a global street art platform. wallD is expected to inject new vitality into Asian cityscapes through this innovative combination of art and business.
