In step with the era of digital transformation, Wetable has officially launched 'Trustie', a non-face-to-face electronic delegation service set to innovate the complex information delegation and consent procedures for businesses and organizations.
The core of Trustie is to streamline the existing cumbersome in-person processing or postal mailing methods into a single text message or KakaoTalk link, without requiring app installation. It enables easy and quick handling of various tasks, ranging from proxy voting delegation for general shareholder meetings to receiving school notices and consent forms.
Currently, companies spend tens of millions to hundreds of millions of won on proxy fees to secure voting rights for general shareholder meetings, often relying on inefficient postal mailings or on-site visits due to limited access to phone numbers or email addresses. The education sector also burdens teachers with the task of directly printing, distributing, and collecting dozens of school notices and consent forms annually, while existing school notification apps are deemed ineffective due to low utilization rates of 10-20%.
Trustie addresses these chronic problems. Delegation requesters can send a delegation and consent request link using only the recipient's contact information, and recipients can complete the delegation or consent immediately after identity verification via the link, without installing an app. A meeting request feature is also provided for users who prefer in-person methods.
According to Wetable's simulation results, the introduction of Trustie showed an 87% reduction in manpower, a 50% decrease in time required, and a 40% reduction in costs compared to traditional methods.
Jang Dae-seok, CEO of Wetable, stated, "I directly experienced the inefficiencies of the market while handling shareholder proxy delegation and planned Trustie to address them. We will provide the easiest and safest electronic delegation service in line with institutional changes such as amendments to the Commercial Act." He also emphasized that Trustie is "an information delegation and consent-specific service developed for use by listed companies, schools, and others that require delegation and consent for specific purposes, unlike existing electronic signature services that primarily focus on electronic contracts."
Wetable plans to expand its services into various fields, including collecting consent forms for reconstruction and redevelopment associations in the future, and by the end of July, it will also introduce 'MyTrustie', a personal digital legacy management service utilizing Trustie's core features.
