HR tech leader Wantedlab announced its 2024 performance, revealing a strong commitment to AI-driven innovation. While recording 36.7 billion KRW in revenue and a slight operating loss of 800 million KRW, this was due to investments in subsidiaries, with the parent company effectively reaching break-even and demonstrating robustness. The core recruitment business drove growth with 28.7 billion KRW in revenue. Thanks to securing clients in AI and growth industries and an increase in demand for core tech roles, the average recruitment fee rose by 6.4% year-over-year to 4.57 million KRW. A solid member base was established with 3.56 million individual members (up 10.2%) and 31,000 corporate clients (up 17.3%). New business areas such as education, freelance matching, and HR solutions also recorded 8 billion KRW in revenue, and the company is now accelerating its 'AX (AI Transformation)' strategy to reorganize all new businesses around AI. The core of this is the 'AI Agent Builder (Wanted LaaS)', with the existing 'Wanted Space' evolving into an HR task support agent, and 'Wanted Geeks' evolving into an AI talent and project platform. Furthermore, the expansion of customized AI education programs in response to the growing demand for AI talent is noteworthy. The company is also making full-fledged inroads into overseas markets. It plans to lead innovation in the Japanese recruitment market by making a strategic investment in 'Lapras', a Japanese IT talent matching company, and integrating Wantedlab's AI model. CEO Lee Bok-ki emphasized that Wantedlab is leading HR innovation as an 'AI-native company' not only in Korea but also in Japan, and unveiled a vision to strengthen its dominance in the HR market with agents that reduce recruitment time by over 90% through AI technology.
