Global AI startup TWO Platforms has introduced 'SUTRA D3', a Knowledge Distillation framework optimized for enterprise environments, offering a new solution to the AI Transformation (AX) market. This innovative framework focuses on resolving issues such as high costs, low scalability, and slow response times that arise when applying large language models (LLMs) in real-world business environments. SUTRA D3 adopts a knowledge distillation method that extracts only the core knowledge from large-scale models to train lightweight, smaller models. This allows companies to quickly build and deploy high-performance AI models specialized for specific domains, even with limited data and lower costs. The core of SUTRA D3 lies in Distillation, Domain (domain specialization), and Data (data-centric learning), and by utilizing synthetic data generated by large models, it enables precise model training even in industries with scarce data. For example, in the medical field, specialized models can be created based on virtual data instead of actual patient records, enabling precise AI solutions such as multilingual medical record analysis. This framework also excels in terms of cost reduction. Operating at a lightweight scale, roughly one-tenth the size of existing large models, it can run effortlessly in on-premise or edge environments, significantly reducing infrastructure costs. Furthermore, the use of synthetic data saves the enormous costs associated with actual data collection and labeling. Its flexible deployment environment, ranging from API-based services to on-device and on-premise solutions, supports optimal model building tailored to each company's situation and even reduces API call costs. TWO Platforms, founded in 2021 by CEO Pranav Mistry, who was Samsung Electronics' youngest executive, has been developing various AI models in-house, including text, voice, and visual AI, solidifying its position in the B2B market. Recently, its AI chatbot 'ChatSUTRA' surpassed 1 million users within a month of its launch, expanding its reach to individual users. CEO Pranav Mistry emphasized, "Beyond the era of general-purpose LLMs, the AI trend is now shifting towards lightweight models optimized for practical applications. Distillation models are the most suitable form for enterprise environments in every aspect, including lightness, cost-efficiency, and internal data specialization, and SUTRA D3 will become the optimal AX partner for enterprise customers." TWO Platforms' SUTRA D3 is expected to become a powerful tool that enables companies to accelerate innovation through AI in a rapidly changing business environment.
