## Trevari Lands on Jeju for its 10th Anniversary! Ushering in a New Era of Reading Communities through Local Collaboration
Trevari, which has broadened the horizons of domestic reading communities over the past decade with intellectual encounters and profound conversations, announced a meaningful expansion to commemorate its 10th anniversary since service launch. Its first destination is 'Jeju'.
While Trevari has been successfully operating in two locations in Seoul, Anguk and Gangnam Agit, Jeju is drawing more attention as it marks the first expansion case through local partnerships instead of dedicated spaces. This is an experimental attempt that demonstrates the flexibility and scalability of the community model.
Since its establishment in September 2015, under the vision of 'making the world more intellectual and people closer,' Trevari has set an astonishing record with a cumulative 115,000 members participating in 27,000 reading clubs. The participation of prominent figures from various fields as club leaders, such as Kang Hak-joong (former CEO of Daekyo/Daekyo Publishing), Kim Beom-jun (physicist), Kim Sang-heon (former CEO of Naver), Ryu Sang-cheol (former director of the Bank of Korea), Park Joon-woo (chef), Lee Hae-wan (former professor of aesthetics at Seoul National University), and Jang Kang-myung (novelist), also attests to the high caliber of the Trevari community.
Jeju, in particular, is where the potential was confirmed by successfully operating the 'Jeju Wellness Reading Club,' which combines yoga, meditation, trekking, and reading, since last November. Starting this coming October, Trevari plans to officially collaborate with unique local spaces in Jeju, such as Cafe Over the Sense and Mesh Coffee Jeju, to present regular reading clubs on diverse topics including brands, essays, and local branding.
Yoon Soo-young, CEO of Trevari, assessed the past decade as "a time when it grew beyond simple gatherings into a sustainable community model," and expressed strong anticipation for the Jeju expansion, stating it "will be an experimental attempt to connect with a wider range of people through collaboration with local spaces, and a new beginning for the next 10 years." Trevari's landing on Jeju embodies the ambition to open new horizons for reading communities through interaction with local society, going beyond merely expanding its physical footprint.
