ThorDrive, a company specializing in autonomous driving technology, has officially launched its low-profile autonomous robot 'T-RAX Indoor' and the 'FMS (Fleet Management System)' platform, which efficiently integrates and manages it, to target the indoor logistics automation market.
T-RAX Indoor, the first offering in the 'T-RAX' series, is designed to automate repetitive transport tasks in various indoor environments, including logistics warehouses and manufacturing facilities. Leveraging ThorDrive's proven autonomous driving technology, it ensures stable operation through precise localization, optimal path generation, and obstacle avoidance capabilities. Equipped with its parent company Unitrontech's high-performance AI computing platform 'URC100', it processes vast amounts of sensor data in real-time. With a selection of various top-mount devices, such as rack-type and lift-type, it enables customized applications like pallet transport, picking, and material transfer between processes. Another significant advantage is its domestic production, which facilitates easy maintenance and parts procurement, along with tailored customization for customer sites.
The integrated operation platform FMS, unveiled concurrently, is a core system that simultaneously controls and monitors various types of robots, including T-RAX Indoor. Through FMS, operators can instantly grasp the real-time location, status, and task information of robots, enabling efficient remote control and work instructions. Notably, it supports flexible integration with existing enterprise internal systems such as WMS and MES, thereby lowering the barrier to robot adoption and maximizing the efficiency of overall logistics processes.
ThorDrive has applied its proprietary innovative AI technologies to the FMS. 'MARS (Multi-Agent Robot System for Collaborative Autonomy)' is a collaborative intelligence-based multi-robot control system that coordinates the movements of multiple heterogeneous robots in real-time, preventing collisions and maximizing operational efficiency. Furthermore, the VLM (Vision-Language Model)-based AI functionality can understand voice and text commands and explain visual information recognized by robots in natural language. This allows even unskilled operators to easily manage robots and enables intuitive interaction between workers and robots, leading to improved information accessibility and operational efficiency on site.
A ThorDrive official emphasized that this launch will go beyond mere equipment supply to provide system-level logistics automation integration. They stated that the platform, combined with proprietary AI technologies like MARS and VLM, will offer high scalability and utilization value. ThorDrive plans to continue providing robot operation platforms optimized for customer needs and expand their application scope to various industrial sites, including factories, logistics warehouses, and large commercial facilities.
