TheVC, a domestic startup capital market DB company, has introduced new features set to revolutionize the discovery and analysis of deep tech companies. The core of this innovation is the aggregation of national Research and Development (R&D) project data, enabling a quick grasp of a startup's technological capabilities.
Now, on TheVC company profiles, users can comprehensively review R&D project history, core research keywords, and even annual R&D expenditure details. This serves as a powerful tool for investors and large corporations to gain keyword-centric insights into a specific company's technological direction and research trends, and to indirectly infer financial soundness based on the scale of annual R&D spending.
Notably, the ‘R&D Timeline’ allows for an intuitive understanding of technology development trends, while the ‘Collaborating Institutions Ranking’ feature enables quantitative analysis of key technology development networks and potential collaboration partners.
Byun Jae-geuk, CEO of TheVC, emphasized that this feature represents the first step in technology-centric company analysis. He stated that TheVC will actively support investment institutions and large corporations in more quickly and accurately identifying deep tech startups, whose importance in national strategy has significantly grown.
