Global family entertainment company The Pinkfong Company took Indonesia by storm! A whopping 2.8 million visitors flocked to the Baby Shark and Bebefinn events, proving their explosive popularity. From June 13 to July 20, this event, held in five major shopping malls nationwide including BSD City (a new city in the Jakarta metropolitan area), Bali, and Cibubur, offered unforgettable fun to family visitors. In particular, more than 1 million people attended the Aeon Mall BSD City event celebrating 'Baby Shark's 10th Anniversary,' and the Trans Studio Mall Cibubur event, which showcased the growth potential of next-generation IP Bebefinn, attracted 540,000 visitors, demonstrating their immense popularity in the region. The event venues offered photo zones, merchandise stores, and participatory programs, as well as sales of 51 types of diverse products including F&B, interior goods, and home appliances, providing a special experience that combined hands-on activities with consumption. Approximately 2,000 people, including 500 child participants, took part in the 'Baby Shark Dash Run,' a running event celebrating 'Baby Shark's 10th Anniversary,' further heating up the atmosphere. Building on this success in Indonesia, The Pinkfong Company plans to expand its LBE (Location-Based Entertainment) business across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore, further solidifying the global competitiveness of K-characters. Indonesia, the starting point of the 'Baby Shark Challenge' craze in 2017, continues to show keen interest and growth, with local YouTube channel views surging 405% year-on-year. Furthermore, by signing a business agreement with RTV, Indonesia's largest terrestrial broadcaster, to provide movies and TV series, and by attracting tens of thousands of visitors at the Singapore McDonald's campaign and the 'Pinkfong World Adventure' pop-up theme park, the company has already established an unrivaled position in the Southeast Asian market. Meanwhile, The Pinkfong Company is currently undergoing the initial public offering (IPO) process for its listing on KOSDAQ, and is set to conduct demand forecasting from late October, followed by general subscription in early November.
