Global family entertainment company The Pinkfong Company is accelerating its penetration into the Greater China market, leveraging its powerful IPs (intellectual properties). Building on explosive growth in online channels, it plans to fully expand its local offline business and further solidify the influence of its IPs.
The Pinkfong Company's Greater China YouTube channels are recording dazzling achievements. As of 2024, annual views reached 570 million, more than doubling from the 270 million views in the same period last year, setting a new all-time high. The total cumulative views in Greater China amount to 2.3 billion. This growth has been driven by the continuous popularity of global IPs 'Pinkfong' and 'Baby Shark,' coupled with the explosive growth of the 'Bebefinn' channel, launched in the Greater China market in September 2023. Bebefinn, with its concept of a 'life-oriented singalong musical for the whole family to enjoy,' is garnering great favor from family viewers with its excellent 3D animation technology, warm storytelling, and easy-to-sing-along melodies.
Building on its online popularity, The Pinkfong Company is officially expanding its offline business in Greater China. In Hong Kong, partnering with Regal Hotels International Group, which boasts over 8,200 rooms, they will launch a Baby Shark package at the 'Regala Skycity Hotel' in downtown Hong Kong. They plan to offer a differentiated Baby Shark brand experience throughout the hotel, from a massive 3.5m-tall Baby Shark photo zone to themed suites, kids' F&B, birthday packages, and amenities.
In Taiwan, another key country in the Greater China market, The Pinkfong Company has captivated local sports fans through a collaboration with the popular professional baseball team 'CTBC Brothers'. From April 4th to 6th, Pinkfong and Baby Shark appeared as ceremonial first pitchers at the CTBC Brothers' home stadium, and successfully hosted on-site events such as fan meetings and dance challenges. Twenty types of limited-edition collaboration products, including baseball uniforms, hats, and keychains, received an enthusiastic response both online and offline.
In addition, The Pinkfong Company participated as the only Korean content company in the 'Taiwan Illustration Fair,' Taiwan's largest illustration event, which attracts over 100,000 visitors annually, showcasing the power of K-content. From April 3rd to 6th, through booths for its next-generation IPs 'Sealook,' 'Moonshark,' and 'Redrex,' they introduced each character's world, exhibited and sold 66 types of flagship products, and broadened communication with local visitors.
A representative from The Pinkfong Company stated that in the Greater China market, which holds high potential, they were once again able to confirm the powerful strength of their IPs. They added that going forward, they will continue to engage with fans beyond YouTube through various offline channels, delivering emotion and enjoyment.
