Telepix Exports 'Bluebon' AI Satellite Imagery to Europe

TelePIX Achieves South Korea's First Overseas Commercialization with AI CubeSat 'BlueBON'... Signs $300,000 Contract with Polish Satellite Company TelePIX, a comprehensive space AI solution company, has pioneered the first overseas commercialization of domestic CubeSat-based satellite imagery through its AI CubeSat 'BlueBON'. By signing a sales rights agreement worth $300,000 with a Polish satellite company, it has entered the European market. This contract is structured so that both companies share the revenue from image sales. It goes beyond simple image provision to include SaaS subscriptions for TelePIX's independently developed satellite image analysis AI solution, 'SatCHAT', thus expanding its business scope by offering generative AI-based analysis services. In Europe, demand for satellite imagery has surged since the Russia-Ukraine War, and there is active movement to diversify the existing US-centric supply system. TelePIX's partner company had already made a preliminary agreement in 2023, prior to BlueBON's launch, and finalized the contract after confirming image quality following the satellite's launch in January 2025. This achievement is thanks to BlueBON's overwhelming technological prowess. TelePIX successfully incorporated core technologies of medium-to-large satellites into the ultra-small 6U-class BlueBON to overcome the limitations of CubeSats. As a result, the 15kg BlueBON offers superior image quality compared to the 1.5m resolution images from existing 25kg-class 16U CubeSats. Unlike conventional CubeSats that were limited to vertical imaging, it successfully performed 'tilt imaging' by stably tilting the satellite's attitude, allowing for more frequent capture of desired areas without compromising image quality. Furthermore, BlueBON is equipped with 'TetraPLEX', TelePIX's proprietary AI processor featuring a GPU, which has demonstrated 100 TOPS of AI inference performance in the space environment. This technology is on par with the state-of-the-art physical AI edge GPU installed in 215kg-class semi-medium satellites, once again confirming TelePIX's technological superiority. Jeon Seung-hwan, Head of TelePIX's Global Business Division, emphasized, "BlueBON is the culmination of TelePIX's ultra-precision electro-optical technology and physical & agentic AI technology in the space sector," adding, "It is highly significant that our technology has been recognized in the international market through Poland, a member state of the European Space Agency (ESA), and has commenced full-scale commercial sales."
