Space Cloud Launches UK Service, Accelerating Global Expansion
Living space platform SpaceCloud has finally landed on British soil, taking its first step towards global expansion. Its operator, NSPACE, plans to expand its business globally through the official service launch in the UK. SpaceCloud is an innovative platform that enables users to book spaces for various purposes such as party rooms, dance practice studios, meeting rooms, and shared offices, either by the hour or through flexible package options. In Korea, since its pioneering introduction of the hourly booking system in 2016, it has achieved a remarkable record of 10 million cumulative transactions, proving its innovativeness and market dominance. SpaceCloud, which officially opened its doors after six months of meticulous preparation since its beta service launch last May, has focused on the dynamic demand and supply ecosystem for living, creative, and work spaces in the UK, particularly around London. It highly evaluated the potential of the UK market, where over 10,000 diverse space operators, including leading co-working brands like Spaces and Huckletree, as well as B-Corp certified companies and Community Interest Companies (CICs), are actively operating. Simultaneously with this official launch, over 60 carefully selected local spaces across the UK have newly joined SpaceCloud. Reflecting the high local demand for dance culture, SpaceCloud anticipates synergy through a strategic partnership with 'OneDance UK' and has successfully secured key practice studio spaces such as Unit 3 Studios and Fish Island in London's Shoreditch area. Furthermore, it offers locally tailored services by diversifying flexible day-pass products for startups and digital nomads, and by including community-oriented facilities like Quaker Meeting Houses in its shared spaces. Jeong Su-hyeon, CEO of NSPACE, expressed his ambition, stating, "Based on our unique expertise in digital management of offline spaces accumulated in the Korean market, we aim to soar as a global platform that organically connects creators and urban residents worldwide." He also presented SpaceCloud's bold future vision, adding, "We plan to gradually expand our service areas to major European cities, using the UK as a bridgehead."
