A wind of innovative change is blowing through the smart unmanned table tennis court market. 'Ping Pong Power Plant 24,' operated by sports tech startup Movehee, has fully introduced its independently developed unmanned reservation solution, opening new horizons for table tennis culture. This solution, which announced its official service launch on February 4, 2025, has enhanced its completeness by thoroughly reflecting valuable feedback from customers and store owners collected from 25 franchise stores from 2023 until the end of last year. Its greatest feature is its optimization for user convenience. Users can now easily log in via their KakaoTalk account on a web-based platform without the hassle of installing a separate app. From time, date, and table reservations to payment, everything is processed in one stop, and entry is simple with a single issued QR code. Tablet PCs installed at each table provide intuitive scoreboard and timer functions, adding to the enjoyment of play. Movehee plans to accelerate platform expansion this year by adding three key contents to the solution. It will expand its ecosystem through MOUs with various service companies and create new revenue models by introducing in-app e-commerce and advertising functions. This embodies Movehee's strong vision to lead smart table tennis culture, similar to the case of 'Golfzon,' which successfully popularized golf through screen golf. 'Ping Pong Power Plant 24' originated from CEO Lee Dong-hee's deep understanding of table tennis as a former national table tennis player and his experience operating manned table tennis courts. By introducing an unmanned system in 2023, it successfully established a new business model where young people, particularly those in their 30s and 40s, account for 80% of all users. The Gimpo main branch achieved astonishing results, attracting over 50,000 visitors within a year of its opening. Even more surprising is that this exponential growth was achieved solely through Movehee's pure in-house capabilities, without external investment. Movehee doesn't stop here. In the future, it plans to expand its business scope with an integrated solution and platform encompassing both manned and unmanned table tennis courts. It is promoting the gradual unmanned conversion of existing manned table tennis courts and is striving to achieve 100 stores within 2025. In the long term, it has the grand ambition of securing 1,000 stores domestically and advancing into the global market. CEO Lee Dong-hee stated, "The development of this proprietary solution proves Movehee's excellent technological capabilities as a sports tech company," adding, "We will continue to play a leading role in popularizing table tennis and creating new sports culture."
