Sirie Energy, a leader in future battery technology, has proven its technological prowess on the global stage by winning a bronze medal at the '2025 Edison Awards' for its innovative lithium anode technology. This achievement follows its previous win of the Grand Prize for Innovation at the '2024 KES Awards' for the same technology, once again highlighting Sirie Energy's unique technological capabilities and innovativeness, both domestically and internationally. Sirie Energy's next-generation lithium anode technology, which won an award in the EV Power Solutions category, received high praise for developing a 3D structured lithium electrode that fundamentally suppresses dendrite formation, a chronic problem in lithium metal batteries. Particularly noteworthy is that this technology is a lithium metal powder technology capable of mass-producing large-area (400cm²), ultra-thin (20um) lithium electrodes through a roll-printing process, making it immediately applicable to various future mobility devices such as electric vehicles, robots, and drones. This is highly anticipated as a key to the commercialization of high-energy density batteries. Established in 1987 to honor the inventor Thomas Edison, the Edison Awards are one of the world's most prestigious accolades, presented to companies and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in various fields, including new product and service development, marketing, design, and innovation. Each year, over 7,000 products are submitted and undergo rigorous evaluation for approximately 7 months. Leading global companies such as Apple, Nvidia, SpaceX, IBM, and Boeing, as well as major domestic corporations like SK and LG, have been among the past recipients. Sirie Energy's award at such a prestigious ceremony strongly attests to its world-class technological prowess and potential. Jeong Kyung-jin, CEO of Sirie Energy, shared his thoughts, stating, "Winning the prestigious Edison Awards in the U.S. after receiving the KES Innovation Product Award signifies that our next-generation battery anode material technology has once again gained international recognition." He further expressed his ambition: "Moving forward, we will accelerate our efforts for customized material supply to our clients and scale-up for stable mass production." This award will be a significant milestone, demonstrating that Sirie Energy is not merely stopping at technology development but possesses sufficient potential to accelerate the era of high-energy density and high-power batteries, and to lead innovation in future industries, including electric vehicles.
