Seoul Youth Employment Academy Opens Songpa Campus, Expanding AI and Startup Talent Hub

Seoul City is expanding its innovative educational infrastructure to turn the dreams of young people into reality, and at the forefront of this initiative, the 'Youth Employment Academy Songpa Campus' will finally open its doors on May 30th. Established in Songpa-gu in collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), this campus is expected to provide optimized opportunities for young people in Seoul's most densely populated area. The Songpa Campus, located on the B1 floor of Terratower at 167 Songpa-daero, a 5-minute walk from Munjeong Station on Line 8, spans 330.9㎡. It provides an environment optimized for learning and networking with two state-of-the-art classrooms, a comfortable lounge, and office space. The first-batch training program is particularly noteworthy. For young people facing the realistic problem of high closure rates for online shopping malls (30% within one year), the ‘Online Shopping Mall Startup’ course goes beyond mere theory, transferring practical know-how through close collaboration with major domestic corporations such as Lotte ON and Gmarket. Trainees will gain differentiated practical experience to secure competitiveness in the actual market, including opportunities for time-deal exposure on large corporate platforms and support for exclusive special exhibitions. The ‘AI and Data Analysis’ course, a core future competency, boasts an extraordinary 520 hours of training, far exceeding typical AI convergence courses (averaging 400 hours). Through this intensive program, trainees will systematically acquire practical AI and data analysis skills essential for solving business problems. In addition to regular training, close support for employment success, such as portfolio creation and resume consulting, is provided. The Songpa Campus also offers a special educational environment. It is the only Youth Employment Academy that has achieved excellent sound insulation effects by using eco-friendly materials such as cork, wood wool board, and OSB plywood. Thoughtful facilities for trainee convenience, such as colored outlets, phone charging shelves, table cup holders, and umbrella stands, are placed throughout. The abundance of restaurants and cultural facilities around Munjeong-dong Terratower will also add vitality to campus life.
