Mathpresso, which operates the AI-based learning platform ‘QANDA’, recorded consolidated revenue of KRW 24.2 billion in 2024, showing an astonishing growth of 42% compared to the previous year. This is a remarkable achievement, setting a new record for maximum annual revenue every year since full-scale monetization began in the second half of 2021, once again proving the substantial growth from KRW 0.5 billion in 2020 to KRW 17 billion in 2023. Furthermore, operating loss decreased by 20% from KRW 24.2 billion to KRW 19.4 billion, marking a successful year in improving profitability. The main drivers of this growth are the explosive growth of the 1:1 non-face-to-face tutoring service ‘QANDA Tutor’ and the stable establishment of the online academy business in Vietnam. In addition, by significantly improving the accuracy and speed of the Q&A function using cutting-edge generative AI technology, user satisfaction was maximized, which led to increased platform loyalty and purchase conversion rates in the global market. QANDA plans to continue its strategies to provide innovative educational experiences in 2025. With exploring new overseas markets and advancing AI technology as its core pillars, it will expand the core experience beyond Q&A to cover all aspects of learning, including note-taking, memorization, and review. Specifically, tablet-based services are scheduled to be implemented starting in the first quarter of this year. Furthermore, by integrating AI agents throughout the entire learning journey to build a hyper-personalized self-directed learning environment, the goal is to simultaneously maximize self-study efficiency and learning motivation. Additionally, it plans to accelerate the digitalization of offline-centric educational products such as domestic tutoring, academies, and content, and localize them to suit global markets, thereby securing new growth engines. Yongjae Lee, CEO of QANDA, emphasized that this revenue performance is a “substantive result” created based on QANDA's high-quality data and technological capabilities, stating his ambition to “fully implement a hyper-personalized self-directed learning environment and continue educational innovation” this year as well. Based on its clear vision and technological prowess, QANDA is solidifying its position as a frontrunner poised to transform the future education market.
