Opensurvey Achieves 15.8 Billion KRW in Revenue in 2024, Succeeds in Turning Profitable in 2 Years Amidst Harsh Conditions
Consumer data platform Opensurvey recorded approximately 15.8 billion KRW in revenue in 2024, achieving a remarkable feat of successfully turning profitable in just two years, even amidst a challenging startup market environment. Its operating profit margin increased by an impressive 9%P compared to the previous year, demonstrating robust growth.
Behind this success lies the stabilization of its existing businesses, coupled with bold investments in new businesses over the past two years, and the securing of solid growth momentum through product-market fit (PMF) verification. Notably, 'Dataspace,' a B2B SaaS platform for research and experience analysis, achieved 1 billion KRW in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) within just 10 months of its launch, emerging as a key growth engine. Furthermore, its existing on-demand research services also consistently improved performance.
Opensurvey successfully transitioned its contract-centric business model to a Dataspace-centric subscription model and solidified its customer base by enhancing its platform with cutting-edge technologies like AI. Actively expanding its user base to include UX research, planning, CX, and more, thereby diversifying business opportunities, also played a crucial role.
This year, Opensurvey plans to accelerate its global expansion, primarily focusing on the Japanese and U.S. markets in the second half, thereby fully launching the overseas expansion of its SaaS model. In the domestic market, it is expected to solidify its unique position by deploying aggressive sales and marketing strategies to firmly establish itself as an essential platform for data-driven decision-making.
CEO Hwang Hee-young stated that the company has confirmed its business growth potential through the B2B SaaS model transition, and this year, it will strive for continuous service enhancement to leap forward as a competitive service in the global market as well.
