Nudge Healthcare's health management app 'Cashwalk' has officially landed in the Japanese market, a rapidly aging society, marking the full-fledged launch of its strategy to conquer the Asian market. Cashwalk, which achieved successful user engagement in North America, is accelerating its global expansion strategy through this entry into Japan.
This entry into the Japanese market is a result of noting the high interest in health and wellness services due to the aging population, along with the steady growth of the reward-based advertising market. Cashwalk meticulously analyzed these characteristics of the Japanese market, and its strategy is to aim for market stabilization by foregrounding a localized, customized user experience.
In particular, Cashwalk Japan has implemented a thorough localization strategy to maximize convenience for local users. It supports LINE and Google account-based logins, which are commonly used by Japanese people, and has enhanced accessibility with a familiar and intuitive UI design utilizing characters. While maintaining its core value of a walk-based reward system, it has newly structured rewards optimized for local Japanese consumption patterns. Users can exchange accumulated points for gift cards from popular Japanese brands such as Amazon Japan, Mister Donut, FamilyMart, Starbucks, Google Play, Ponta points, and d points, and partnerships are planned to be continuously expanded. Furthermore, it encourages the sharing of daily health habits via SNS by providing a 'Timestamp' feature that saves and shares exercise data as images, along with a statistics sharing screen.
Song Seung-geun, CEO of Nudge Healthcare, stated, "Japan is a market with extremely high interest in health management and improving the quality of life for the senior generation due to its aging population," and highly evaluated the growth potential of Cashwalk, a walk-based health management app. He further expressed his ambition, "We will continue to establish ourselves as a platform that helps users worldwide naturally form healthy habits in their daily lives."
Cashwalk, currently operating its service in Korea, the US, Canada, and now Japan, first launched its Android (AOS) app, and is progressively discussing the launch of the Japanese iOS version and further expansion into overseas markets.
