Nuvilab has achieved a remarkable leap in the global food tech market, proudly ranking 11th in the '2024 FoodTech 500'. This is an impressive feat, a vertical leap of 146 places from last year's 157th rank.
The FoodTech 500, an authoritative ranking that evaluates the innovation of food technology companies worldwide, is announced annually by the global platform Forward Fooding. It selects the top 500 companies based on various indicators such as business scale, digital influence, and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with 1,420 companies from 80 countries competing this year.
Nuvilab's core technology is AI vision. It precisely analyzes the type, quantity, and intake of food to improve individual eating habits, provide nutritional feedback, and further maximize the efficiency of mass meal operations. With solutions optimized for meal service environments such as schools, daycare centers, and hospitals, it is achieving two goals: fostering a healthy food culture and reducing food waste.
In Korea, over 1,000 daycare centers and kindergartens and more than 40,000 students are already benefiting from Nuvilab's solutions, and its influence is expanding through collaborations with major institutions and companies such as Gyeonggi Agricultural & Fisheries Promotion Agency, Korea Childcare Promotion Institute, and Soonsubon. Notably, last year, it earned the B-Corp certification, a global symbol of trust, in recognition of its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management and commitment to social responsibility, externally validating its sustainability.
CEO Kim Dae-hoon emphasized regarding this achievement, "This is the result of international recognition that Nuvilab is creating meaningful innovation at the consumption stage, where the digital transformation of the food industry had not yet fully reached." He revealed his ambition, stating, "We will expand our business beyond data-driven meal service innovation into the healthcare sector and lead sustainable change in the global market."
In fact, Nuvilab is accelerating its entry into the global stage. Starting with a collaboration with Alexandra Hospital in Singapore last year, it is developing solutions to improve diet quality in overseas hospitals and is actively seeking cooperation with North American healthcare institutions, including Canada, to secure global growth momentum.
