Nota recorded 100% accuracy with its Sony IMX500 chipset-based smart traffic solution in the AI Voucher Project hosted by the National Information Society Agency (NIPA), proving overwhelming technological superiority and economic efficiency compared to global competitors. This project, targeting an area in Lakewood, USA, prone to jaywalking accidents, focused on verifying the possibilities of pedestrian safety management and traffic volume analysis. Nota implemented various smart traffic functions, such as pedestrian safety management and traffic volume analysis, by applying its self-developed AI optimization technology to cameras based on the Sony IMX500 smart image sensor. Notably, by implementing high-performance AI on the low-power, low-cost IMX500 sensor without loss of accuracy, Nota achieved 100% accuracy compared to global competitors such as Velodyne and Derq, while simultaneously providing a solution with a significantly lower cost structure, thereby confirming its technological and economic advantages. Sony also acknowledged Nota's technological prowess by citing its project as an excellent example of power consumption and cost reduction in a webinar it hosted directly. Chae Myung-su, CEO of Nota, stated that "energy saving and cost-efficiency are crucial in smart city environments, and this project reaffirmed that Nota's technology can lead innovation in various industrial fields." Nota continues technological cooperation through strategic partnerships with global semiconductor leaders including Sony, NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics, and Arm, and has secured Fortune Global 500 companies as key clients. Based on its competitiveness and business potential in the on-device AI market, Nota achieved sales of 8.4 billion won last year, recording a 136% growth rate year-over-year. Recently, Nota became the first AI optimization company to submit a preliminary application for KOSDAQ listing and strengthened its presence in the Middle East market by signing an ITS solution supply contract with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in the UAE. Furthermore, Nota has consistently achieved global recognition, including being named one of 'CB Insights' Global Top 100 Innovative AI Startups' in April.
