On-device AI specialist Nota (NOTA) is writing a new history in the field of AI optimization technology in Korea. Nota has submitted its preliminary review application for KOSDAQ listing to the Korea Exchange, becoming the first domestic company to pursue a special technology listing in the AI optimization technology sector. Mirae Asset Securities will be the lead underwriter for the listing.
Nota's core competitiveness lies in its independently developed AI model optimization platform 'NetsPresso®' and its on-device generative AI solution. NetsPresso® quickly and efficiently runs high-performance AI models even in resource-constrained edge device environments, and automates complex model optimization and deployment processes, revolutionizing cost savings for customers' AI development and operation.
Nota's technological prowess and business viability have already been officially recognized. Last year, it proved its unique technological capability by being the first in the AI optimization technology sector to receive 'A' ratings from both NICE Investors Service and Korea Technology Finance Corporation. Furthermore, in April, it proudly secured a spot on CB Insights' 'Global Top 100 AI Startups' list, showcasing its global competitiveness.
Currently, Nota is engaged in continuous technological collaboration through strategic partnerships with leading global semiconductor companies such as NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Samsung Electronics, Arm, and Sony. By securing Fortune Global 500 companies as key clients, it is solidifying its unparalleled position in the on-device AI market.
In particular, 'Nota Vision Agent (NVA)', a video surveillance solution incorporating on-device generative AI technology, is achieving substantial commercialization results in various industrial fields such as industrial safety, transportation, and retail. The recent solution supply contract with the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in the UAE is a remarkable achievement that simultaneously proves Nota's technological prowess, profitability, and global expansion potential.
Having secured a cumulative investment of 53.2 billion KRW from Samsung, LG, Naver D2SF, Kakao, and others since its early days, Nota, with its robust financial structure, recorded approximately 8.4 billion KRW in sales last year, achieving an astonishing 136% growth compared to the previous year. This year, it is also expected to continue its high growth trajectory of over 67% compared to the previous year, clearly demonstrating that its technology-based revenue model has entered a stable orbit.
The funds secured through this IPO will be primarily invested in recruiting top talent, expanding global business, and enhancing products, thereby accelerating a technology-driven global expansion strategy. Having already laid the groundwork for global expansion by establishing corporations in Berlin, Germany, and Sunnyvale, USA, Nota now aims to expand its business into key markets such as the Middle East, Japan, and Southeast Asia, further strengthening its global leadership in the AI optimization market.
Myungsoo Chae, CEO of Nota, regarded the KOSDAQ preliminary listing review application as a 'significant milestone leading the global AI optimization market,' emphasizing that the company will actively invest the funds secured through the IPO in advancing its technology and expanding its global business to solidify its leadership in the AI optimization technology sector.
