New ID Makes TOP 10 in NTT Docomo Startup Challenge 2025
New ID, an innovative entertainment tech company, is drawing attention by demonstrating overwhelming technological prowess and growth potential on the global stage. New ID achieved a remarkable feat by proudly making it to the TOP 10 finalists in the ‘NTT DOCOMO Startup Challenge 2025’, surpassing over 1,400 startups worldwide. This prestigious challenge, hosted by Japanese telecommunications giant NTT, is a global program that discovers companies with outstanding technology and market scalability, offering collaboration and investment opportunities. At the final pitching event held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the 11th, New ID successfully showcased its innovative FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV) service and unique AI-based localization technology to officials from NTT DOCOMO and major global partners. On this occasion, New ID detailed its leading media solution portfolio, including its self-developed content management system ‘Playout+’, global CTV ad integration solution ‘Demand+’, and AI dubbing solution ‘DUBBLE’ which breaks down language barriers for content. This achievement presented New ID with strategic business matching opportunities with NTT Group and its affiliates, and led to the remarkable outcome of being selected for investment review by the Group's CVC (Corporate Venture Capital). Furthermore, New ID secured an exclusive opportunity to leverage NTT's extensive ICT infrastructure, internal solutions, and powerful global network assets. Park Jun-kyung, CEO of New ID, emphasized, "This achievement is a result of our technology and vision as an Asian media tech company being globally recognized for its ability to effectively disseminate the infinite value of K-content on global media platforms." He further expressed a strong ambition, stating, "Based on the deeply discussed collaborative relationships with 14 global organizations, including NTT, in Jakarta, we will combine FAST and AI localization technologies to grow into a global hub connecting the content and advertising industries." Meanwhile, New ID has successfully attracted a total of 13 billion KRW in Series A investment from leading domestic investment firms, including Korea Investment Partners, IBK Securities, NextG Investment, and Esu Creative Investment, and is currently actively preparing for Series B funding. Additionally, in 2025, the company plans to further solidify its technological leadership by undertaking the 8 billion KRW ‘AI Dubbing-Specialized K-FAST Dissemination Support Project’ organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
