MyRealTrip Surpasses 10M Subscribers, Hits 5M MAU
Travel platform MyRealTrip has achieved remarkable results, surpassing 10 million cumulative subscribers and recording 5 million monthly active users (MAU). MyRealTrip, which first started as a guided tour brokerage service in 2012, has now rapidly grown into a one-stop platform offering 1.5 million travel products, encompassing flights, accommodations, and activities. Notably, the cumulative number of subscribers, which was 5 million in 2022, doubled in just three years, impressively surpassing 10 million. Over the past two years, monthly transaction volume has steadily increased, showing explosive growth in all major categories, including approximately 80% in the flight sector, 100% in tours and activities, and over 200% in the accommodation sector. This growth momentum is attributed to active marketing strategies and strengthened partnerships. The company significantly expanded customer touchpoints through a brand campaign featuring actor Jo Jung-suk in the second half of this year, large-scale promotions like 'Special Deal Hunter Week,' advanced development of its customized free travel package 'Mypack,' and strengthened collaborations with airlines, hotels, and tourism boards. Furthermore, MyRealTrip is leveraging the K-trend craze to fully launch its inbound services (domestic travel for foreigners). Last year, it made a strategic investment in the domestic inbound platform 'Creatrip,' providing optimized products and a convenient booking environment for foreign tourists visiting Korea, thereby accelerating its push into the global market. Lee Dong-gun, CEO of MyRealTrip, stated, "This is a meaningful result of customers trusting and choosing MyRealTrip," and pledged to continue enhancing customer satisfaction with innovative and convenient services. Meanwhile, MyRealTrip successfully turned profitable last year and demonstrated robust financial growth by achieving a monthly transaction volume (GMV) of 217.1 billion won in July this year, and a cumulative transaction volume of 1.5 trillion won from January to August.
