# MyRealTrip Launches 'Local Helper', a Reliable Companion for Unfamiliar Destinations! MyRealTrip, Korea's leading travel super app, has opened new horizons for travel by introducing 'Local Helper', an innovative on-demand support service for independent travelers. The biggest feature of this service is its ability to connect Korean travelers in need of assistance in unfamiliar places with local Korean residents in real-time, allowing them to meet a helper within 30 minutes of a request. Beyond interpretation and navigation, it also enables immediate response to unexpected emergency situations, thereby alleviating anxieties that may arise during travel. The pilot operation will commence in Shinjuku and Shibuya wards of Tokyo, Japan, focusing on interpretation and guide functions. Only MyRealTrip members with a travel reservation history in the respective area or users accessing from the local area can utilize the service. The service can be used for a minimum of 1 hour and by up to 4 people together. Helpers are selected through MyRealTrip's strict document and interview screening process. Factors such as period of residence, occupation, language proficiency, and guide experience are comprehensively considered to comprise individuals who can offer a friendly experience, as if traveling with an acquaintance, along with local information. MyRealTrip plans to expand the scope of the service this year by introducing various additional functions such as shopping/delivery errands, accompanying to hospitals/government offices, waiting in line at popular restaurants, and luggage storage. Furthermore, it aims for a phased service expansion to major cities worldwide, including travel trend regions such as Northern Europe, South America, India, and Egypt. Lee Dong-geon, CEO of MyRealTrip, stated, "We planned this service so that Korean travelers in unfamiliar destinations can experience both practical support and psychological stability simultaneously through local Korean helpers," and promised to enhance the service based on user feedback.
